The Chicago Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) has supported the following cases:

  • CHICAGO RCFL AIDS IN THE CONVICTION OF A CHILD PORNOGRAPHER  One year ago, Barry Eytcheson, an unemployed computer engineer, was arrested for allegedly sharing child pornography over the Internet, and later admitted that he had collected child pornography for years. Investigators working with the Chicago RCFL, also learned that Eytcheson made a sexually explicit video and took lewd photographs of a child between June and November 2004... (Posted: 5/17/2006)

  • Former Trader Receives Heavy Sentence Although it appeared to be a suicide, an investigation supported by the CGRCFL that was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Chicago Police Department (a CGRCFL participating agency), and the U.S. Attorney's Office revealed a far different conclusion...
